The Team
The Crackerjacks Leisure Marching team was founded on 11th April 1995. We still have 3 foundation members in the team - Heather Ricketts our treasurer and leader, Carolyn Philip our secretary and Karen Napier who is now our coach.We are a lively bunch of “mature” women who love to get together each week and practise marching displays. We’re from the Hutt Valley - Wainuiomata, Lower and Upper Hutt.
Since the formation of the Team we have traveled extensively from Auckland to Stewart Island and numerous towns and cities in between. We held the inaugural North Island Day in 2003 and have attended all the Nationals and N.Island Days. We hold our own Display Day each September at the Walter Nash Stadium in Lower Hutt, where we share a fun day of marching with visiting teams.
Although leisure marching is our main aim, we also have a lot of fun on our away trips as you can see in our photo gallery.
